18 Months

This little girl is so adored and she knows it. She has her very own fan club and we love watching her learn and grow.
  • She loves talking on the phone, whether pretend or for real. She jabbers away and really seems to converse with the person on the other line. Even though we still don't know what she is saying.
  • She climbs on everything. She loves climbing all over playgrounds. If there is a glass within her reach she will dump it out. If there's a pencil or pen she will scribble on everything. She loves the toilet brushes and plungers and toothbrushes...which don't mix well. Basically she's a little destructive tornado and keeps us on our toes. Our one saving grace is that she hasn't figured out that pushing chairs up to the counters would give her even more things to make a mess with.

  • Vivi loves going outside and visiting the chickens. She has learned to give the cats a healthy distance because cats are punks and don't have the patience for a toddler.

This is her trying to sneak over to the neighbors' to be with her siblings. She really doesn't want to be left out.
  • I gave her pigtails and she hated them and ripped them out almost immediately...but they were pretty darn cute.
I could only fit the mullet into the hair ties...she sported a combover on the top.
  • She still isn't a great talker, besides her own little language. But she has mastered "no!" which is an important word to learn with four older siblings. She says no a lot. No for when she doesn't want something and no for when she does want something. It gets a little confusing. Tanner thinks her inflection is a little different for her no that means yes...but I still seem to get it wrong.
  • We all get really excited when she uses a new word. She likes to say "cheese" when she's playing with my phone. Mainly she screams when someone does something she doesn't like and says "nana" whenever she is hungry or thirsty.
This is her "cheese" face
  • We're at that stage when church is a trial. I'm lucky if we can be in the chapel for all of Sacrament Meeting. She likes to make faces at everyone sitting behind us in church. She is old enough for nursery now and went last Sunday and did ok but she decided she wanted to be with dad this week.
Trying to escape...
  • She is getting more of an opinion and isn't afraid to express it. She even is getting picky about what she wears.
Vivi loves her rain jacket
  • Vivienne has gotten to spend a lot of time with grandparents and really loves them.
She is really good at putting in a lot of effort to get up on someone's lap only to climb back down within seconds. The girl has too much energy.

  • Vivi loves her Baby and pushes her around the house in Eliza's stroller.
  • She loves for us to read books to her but often only lasts the first few pages. Unless it is Good Night Gorilla or Hug. Those are her favorite. She even says, "Bobo!" just like her daddy does when he reads it to her.
  • She loves her "gengkie" (blankie) and if one is good then four is even better.
  • Sometimes when she is getting frustrated she starts talking in a Louis Armstrong voice...its a favorite of mine.
We really love this wild thing. She makes us all so very happy.

Getting ready to jump on me...another favorite past time.
