March Happenings

We started out the month celebrating the Vivster
She had to help with her birthday pancakes

This was the best smile I could get. I think she was a little confused with all the attention she got this day.

The life of a fifth child: constant smothering by adoring older siblings. Vivi could barely look at one gift before they were "helping" her open the next. Everyone picked out gifts for her at the dollar store and were so excited for her to open them.

We finished Vivi's birthday with angel food cake cupcakes with whipped cream and berries. She blew the candle out like it was something she did every day and was most excited about the berries. She sang Happy Birthday for days after so I think overall it was an enjoyable experience.

Crazy hair day, they wanted it documented to send to the cousins.

I have so many pictures of them reading together but they always make me so happy.

Austin lost some more teeth and is losing faith in the Tooth Fairy. The other day he said, "Mom just put my dollar in my account, you can't seem to remember to put it under my pillow". It isn't nearly as fun giving them money when they don't believe, though I only have myself to blame.

There's always trouble when Vivi finds a marker, I'll take hands over the walls or doors any day.

I decided to teach the kids all the tricks to look your most beautiful. This will serve them well in their life.

We decided to go on a "hike" one warm day. It was a super short walk but the kids were excited seeing the rock formations, and new growth. Josie had a blast dragging us around trying to smell everything. There was lots of mud but that just added to the adventure.

Little rule breakers; they both know Josie shouldn't be on the couch. But they looked so sweet I had to get a picture.

Eliza wanted some pictures of her cool poses and Vivi had to have one taken of her as well.

On St. Patrick's Day, we had green pancakes for breakfast and then I made Shepherd's Pie for dinner. We watched Darbie O'Gill and the Little People (the banshee may have traumatized the littles, but now they know not to mess with Leprechauns, a valuable lesson).
The night ended with Lucky Charms. I used Spinach to make the pancakes green to avoid using artificial food coloring, so naturally Tanner brought home Lucky Charms. Balance...

I had my first activity in my new responsibility at church. Let's just say I didn't get called because of my decorating skills, but the message was good and it was wonderful to spend time with the sisters in my ward.

Chet and Austin have been on a big origami folding kick. They decided to step up their game and make some super-size creations.

Austin loved the designs that Mariah put on his paper airplane.

We are excited to move into warmer months!
