Five Months

I keep telling Austin that he can't grow up but he just isn't listening. Our sweet boy has had a busy last couple months with a lot of firsts and has handled it all so well.

  • He had his first haircut. I loved the little curlycue on top of his head but it was getting a little too out of hand.
  • He also got to go on his first long drive. We drove from Kirksville to Pittsburgh and he did really well. By midnight he started to get tired of his car seat but all things considered he did really well.
Sucking his fingers just like his namesake Grandpa Young did as a baby.
  • Austin went on his first plane rides. As we were just landing on one flight an older man handed us $5 and said it was for having the best baby on the plane. The people right in front of us were shocked to find that there had been a baby right behind them the whole 4 hour flight. He is perfection.
  • He even tried his hand at swimming. And true to Crossley baby form, he wasn't a huge fan but he was too polite to make a big fuss.

  • Austin got to be an only child for two weeks and just loved it. The first couple days he did a lot of looking around wondering where all the noise went.
  • He is laughing all the time now especially when he gets sleepy. He is super ticklish but doesn't know how to handle it.
  • Every once in a while when we pick him up he gives out a little squeal and it's the sweetest thing ever.

I could just squeeze him all day long.
