We have a twelve year old boy in the house! It's been fun to watch him learn and grow this past year.
1. What do you like most about yourself?
That I find it hard to give up.
2. What do you think your future job will be?
I hope my job will be an NBA player, I'm not sure what I think my job will be. (We've had some conversations about the odds of that happening. "Mom, do you think I could be good enough that a team would hire me without me having to play on Sunday?")
3. What do you love to eat?
I love hamburgers and cheeseburgers.
4. How do you like to spend your time?
Learning new things and practicing sports. That's how I like to spend my time, most of my time is spent doing school.
Chet has really enjoyed his 3D pen and has made a lot of amazing creations with it. He also is a yoyo master, can juggle, and enjoys riding his unicycle.
5. What are you good at?
I like active things, I'm good at lots of active things.
6. Who are your best friends and why do you like each other?
My family because they are always there for me when I need someone.
7. Who is someone you look up to?
Moroni (both Moroni's from the Book of Mormon) and Dad are probably the top two because they try and do their best in every circumstance.
8. What makes you sad?
There are a lot less things that make me sad than make me mad. (I will say, he has gotten much better at controlling his temper and I'm so proud of him for that.)
9. What is your favorite outfit to wear?
Shorts and a T-shirt (I had to reign him back in after he went off on a rocket boot, glider suit thing that he hasn't ever worn but would be his favorite to wear if he had one.)
10. What makes you really annoyed?
I've got a big ol' list. I get annoyed when people are not being fair.
11. What makes you feel proud?
When I learn something new.
12. What makes you happy?
Sports
13. What's the best thing that's happened to you lately?
Probably going to Luke's house.
14. What do you do when you feel sad?
I go into my room and kick a ball
15. What's your favorite thing to do with mom?
Laugh with you about the funny things my little siblings do.
He is so good at finding the humor in things. My favorite is when he laughs so hard he can't breathe.
16. What's your favorite thing to do with dad?
Go to youth activities with him.
Here they are after an online church meeting. Chet is a great help in planning activities and is up for anything. He also enjoys long bike rides with Tanner. They share Tanner's Bluetooth ear pieces and listen to music or books together. Works great unless Tanner gets too far ahead. It helps keep Chet motivated.
17. What's your favorite thing to do with Mariah?
Play soccer with her
Mariah passed him up on height and he is not ok with that. But I told him it will probably be the last time in their life that she is taller so he is just going to have to suffer through it.
18. What's your favorite thing to do with Austin?
Honestly a lot of stuff. But most of all, I probably like going on bike rides with him.
These two are such good buddies. I remember Tanner being so excited when we found out Austin was a boy because it meant Chet would have a best friend. I am so grateful for that too now.
19. What's your favorite thing to do with Eliza?
Play tag with her.
He's pretty good at pushing his sister's buttons, but he is also so good at helping them.
20. What's your favorite things to do with Vivi?
Play downstairs
21. What's your favorite thing to do with Asa?
Play downstairs too.
Chet is so good at keeping Asa entertained when I'm trying to get something done. Asa really loves his big brother.
Chet made his own cake with just a little help from me and did a great job.
I am so grateful to have Chet in our family. He is a leader, jokester, lawn mowing extraordinaire, discoverer of new hobbies and talents, food critic, and a friend to everyone. I know there are big things for him in this life and I'm excited to be a witness to all that he does.
