November was mainly filled with school and life at home but we were able to do some fun activities. Our Homeschool group went bowling and the kids were so excited to go.
Eliza was thrilled that they had shoes in her size. We had to help her carry the bowling ball over to the ramp and her enthusiasm waned pretty early on. But she had fun climbing up and down off the stools and watching everyone else bowl.
Mariah was bummed when she couldn't find her mask and had to wear an adult one. Pandemic problems...
Chet was so pumped to be bowling. I loved this action shot I got of him.
Austin did much better with the ramp and would turn and walk away without even looking to see what he knocked down. Although it looked like a chore to him he told dad how much fun he had. Apparently he shows his excitement like his dad.
Mariah and Chet went to an art class and the younger two got to go to a fun new park. Austin kept raving about it to Mariah and Chet so we had to go another day. The weather was beautiful and the park was full of so many fun things.
This rocket was super high, you could climb all the way to the top. It took a while for Austin to work up the courage to go all the way up but he finally did it.
Wall sits with dad. Eliza is always telling us, "I wook out."
Tanner took the week of Thanksgiving off so we were finally able to burn our burn pile. The kids were so excited to gather up sticks and branches around the yard and haul them to the fire in their "gator". Tanner had fun with his "boy scout juice" and the pile was burned in no time.
Gus spent the whole day digging on the property and had mud all over his face and paws.
The cousins came up Wednesday night and Eliza was thrilled to finally hold Porter. She had been talking for weeks about how she was going to hold him and give him his binkie.
We had a relaxing Thanksgiving day. Tanner and Baydon started on the Murphy bed we are building in the study and the kids were outside all day long. I spent the least amount of time I ever have prepping the turkey and it was probably the best one I have ever made; go figure.
Miri's mood in this picture is exactly how I feel about Thanksgiving dinner, especially the pies.
Eliza and Jack are the cutest little buddies. I've never seen two year olds get along so well and actually play together.
And this was our thankful tree. I couldn't get it to stick to the wall so I eventually moved it to our cork board. the kids cut out their own leaves and were thrilled with how it turned out. So don't be surprised if it goes viral on Pinterest. Every night Eliza wanted her leaf to say, Jesus loves me.
Although we didn't end up getting to be with as much family as we had originally planned, we were grateful for the Thanksgiving day we had.
